Hypertension-Related Deaths Rise More Than Fourfold in Young Women

Heart disease related to high blood pressure has risen sharply among women aged 25 to 44 over two decades, with researchers calling for increased screening in younger women. The study found deaths from hypertensive heart disease rose from 1.1 to 4.8 per 100,000 women in this age group between 1999 and 2023.
